Walking up mountains is tough!! We need to up the calories but it is important to make sure our snacks are not only energy boosters but also tasty too!

The Faboulous Bakin Boys do awesome flapjacks and when in tescos this week i was very excited to see their new range! Flapjack with a fruit twist! Wooh!

And buy one get one free! Even better!

Fab skiing snacks too Ben and Hannah! Did I mention we're off skiing in 12 days to get an early mountain fix before the summer! Hee hee!

My EHIC has arrived....

If you haven't got yours it takes 5 min to fill in online and mine took about a week to arrive.... Happy days!

TK Maxx Genius!!!!

A top tip for you all...... Scour TK Maxx for bargains because there are some amazing things to be had! I've just picked up a Trekmates polar buff for £4.99 and I have seen a Vaude windstopper for £15 before. Also look out for decent walking boots in their shoe bit coz Paul picked up a pair of Gore-Tex off road trainers for about £30... I've even seen a North Face fleece in there so always worth a look.

A word of advice though.... if you see something and you're not sure, buy it and then take it back coz it will never be there again!

Ain't no mountain high enough...!

We were out in the New Forest today in the area that we used on the second day of selection... It looks slightly different when it's not covered in inches of snow!!   And see, i actually did want to take a photo of you!

The hills were still there though! I know you all loved them.

Thought i'd have a look at the route you walked instead of doing any of the work i'm supposed to be doing...!

And then thought that you maybe ought to compare and contrast!!! Focus on the y axis units!

Cameras at the ready!

After a recent trip to the National History Museum and specifically the Wildlife Photographer of the Year Exhibit, it definitely looks like cameras will be needed in the Summer. The winner of the 'Animals in their Environment' category was an awesome photo taken by Jochen Schlenker from a point on the TMB at  the Lac des Chéserys.

We're now taking nominations for the official photographer of the group with the sole proviso that one of the pictures taken will win an award next year!
