We were out in the New Forest today in the area that we used on the second day of selection... It looks slightly different when it's not covered in inches of snow!! And see, i actually did want to take a photo of you!

Cameras at the ready!
After a recent trip to the National History Museum and specifically the Wildlife Photographer of the Year Exhibit, it definitely looks like cameras will be needed in the Summer. The winner of the 'Animals in their Environment' category was an awesome photo taken by Jochen Schlenker from a point on the TMB at the Lac des Chéserys.
We're now taking nominations for the official photographer of the group with the sole proviso that one of the pictures taken will win an award next year!

Must do a 2 day first aid course 9th – 10th April
Will need to keep a first aid log book, discuss what supplies to take, be first aider while away, help with the medical risk assessment.
b. Equipment
Work with Dave as logistics leader. Plan group kit before we go. Be responsible for repairs and things out there. Think about what we need to tale with us for repairs. Check gas levels and inform the shopper if we need more
c. Budget
In charge of daily budget. Record expenditure in a book. Carry daily funds given by mel each day. Work with shopper to ensure we don’t go over budget each day. Organise t-shirts before we go
d. Interpreter
Give some language lessons before we go. Interpret, carry language guides in case we need them. Work with shopper and accommodation person if they need help
e. Navigation
Look at routes and variants before we go. Organise maps and guide books. Learn to use GPS. Navigate with Mel
f. Menu planner and shopper
Record likes and dislikes before we go. Research calories needed and plan possible menus. Work with budget holder to get food each day.
g. Accommodation
Research possible accommodation choices on internet for prices and contacts. Book accommodation while there, check in and pay for bookings
h. Transport and weather
Book France airport transfer with Jess. Get timetables for buses and cable cars in tourist info centre to carry. Check forecast where ever possible and advise the leadership team

Cotswold's had their language guides reduced today... apparently thy are all you need to learn to 'Talk fast!' I'm not so sure... this is definately the first phrase i think i'll have to master!
